Can love be more powerful than economics? Can love be more powerful than what we consume? Can love be more powerful than the needed to control? Can love be more powerful than a political hope?

Only when we realize that love is God, can love be that powerful.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Steven M. Johnson and I have a passion for Jesus, youth, families, justice, and the church. Over the last twelve years I have been a youth pastor, a missions leader, an evangelist, an apologist, a marketing major, a Masters of Divinity student, and a justice worker. I don't really call myself a visionary, but I have visions for the church. I don't really believe I have the best ideas, but I have good ones. I don't think I know all, but I know some things. This is a place where I share some of my thoughts, ideas, and visions for ministry and the Church. My hope is a place of learning, conversation, and hope which is centered around the topic of youth culture, families, and the church. Welcome and join in.

Why Redeeming Creation?

Currently, we find ourselves living between the now, and the not yet of the Kingdom of God. It is this reality that should effect the way that ministry is done in the world, as the church joins with God in the work of redeeming his creation. Today's youth are more spiritual, but find themselves further from the community of God and very distant from the redeeming work of the institutional church in the world. Youth are a vital part of our communities and are longing to hear the redeeming voice of God calling them to himself. The church must look to participate in the redeeming work of our Lord as he redeems today's teens and families. This site looks to create conversation and explore today's world of teens, families, and church ministry in hopes of encouraging others to join the work God in redeem his creation.
